SPB TV has won its first award at IBC2013, which is taking place from September 13 to 17 in Amsterdam. During the annual CSI Awards on September 13, SPB TV's specialists were presented with the Highly Commended special prize in the Best Web TV Technology or Service nomination for designing the best technology or service in the sphere of web television.
The SPB TV team revealed its new solution for multiscreen OTT-TV services. The company, which is renowned as a pioneer of worldwide mobile television, has expanded on its previous achievements and offered a number of significant technological innovations that totally change both the way TV is watched and the principles involved in creating OTT-TV business models. Most significantly, SPB TV offers new monetization tools that include technologies for ad substitution in video streams, allowing providers of OTT-TV services to replace ads on rebroadcasted channels with targeted ones. Another great step forward is SPB TV's developments in interactive television that provide viewers with the ability to see additional information and participate in polls and votes, as well as many other possibilities while watching TV.
SPB TV is also improving content-delivery technologies and its application interface, becoming even more user-friendly while still supporting all platforms. All these features increase the commercial effectiveness of SPB TV's technological solutions for multiscreen TV services and this expands the number of areas where it can be used.
